Terms & Conditions of Service

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the yacht charter brokerage services (the “Service”) provided by TRAVEL BOAT (“we,” “our,” or “us”) to clients (“you” or the “Client”). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms.

Description of the Service

TRAVEL BOAT acts as a broker between Clients and professional yacht charter companies (“Charter Companies”). We use international yacht booking systems to present offers, availability, and information provided directly by Charter Companies.

All yachts listed in these systems are equipped, inspected, and insured in accordance with applicable maritime laws and regulations. TRAVEL BOAT uses its expertise to identify suitable yachts for Clients and to provide detailed information regarding each offer.

The charter agreement is concluded directly between the Client and the Charter Company in accordance with that company’s terms and conditions. TRAVEL BOAT is not a contractual party to the yacht charter agreement but acts as an intermediary for customer service, communication, and payments.

TRAVEL BOAT guarantees that charter prices offered through our Service are the same as, or better than, those offered directly by Charter Companies. No additional service fees are charged.

Booking Process

  • A booking request submitted through TRAVEL BOAT is confirmed by email once accepted by the Charter Company.
  • To secure the booking, the Client must pay 50% of the total charter fee as indicated on the TRAVEL BOAT invoice.
  • The remaining balance and any additional costs (such as deposits, extras, or skipper fees) are payable under the Charter Company’s policy.

Charter Terms

The Charter Company’s terms and conditions form part of the contract and are accepted by the Client upon payment of the invoice. These terms define the contractual relationship, scope of services, rights and obligations, cancellation policies, and liability provisions.

If language is a barrier, TRAVEL BOAT will clarify the key terms for the Client. Please note that charter terms may vary by country and by Charter Company.

Use of the Yacht

The Client must operate the yacht in compliance with:

  • the charter agreement,
  • safe navigation practices,
  • local and international maritime regulations, and
  • all other applicable laws.

Failure to comply may result in termination of the charter without refund.

Online Client Interface

Our website provides a booking interface where Clients can request offers and submit reservations.
Reservations and offers made through the interface become binding only once confirmed by TRAVEL BOAT on behalf of the Charter Company. Confirmations are normally issued within 24 hours by email.

Limitation of Liability

  • TRAVEL BOAT is not liable for damages, losses, or disruptions caused by: technical issues, malware, external links, or third-party failures.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of information provided by Charter Companies or third parties. Offers, prices, and availability may change without notice.
  • TRAVEL BOAT is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service.

Crew List and Qualification Requirements

To comply with maritime regulations, the Client must provide a crew list including personal data of all passengers and crew. The list must designate a qualified skipper, responsible for the yacht, who typically holds:

  • an international skipper’s license, and
  • a VHF/SRC radio operator’s certificate.

A yacht may not be used without a qualified skipper and completed crew list.

TRAVEL BOAT will request:

  • copies of skipper certificates at the time of booking, and
  • the completed crew list 3–4 weeks before the charter.

The crew list must include:

  • full name,
  • date and place of birth,
  • nationality,
  • passport or ID number,
  • and indication of which members hold skipper certifications.

This information is forwarded securely to the Charter Company. Some companies may be based outside the EU.

TRAVEL BOAT retains this data only for the duration of the charter. Crew lists and certificates are destroyed after the charter period ends.

Privacy & Data Protection

Personal data collected for the purposes of charter arrangements is used exclusively for the fulfillment of the Service. Passenger lists and certificates are not treated as registries under data protection law. For further information, please see our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to TRAVEL BOAT’s place of registration. Any disputes arising shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
